During the winter months visitors can tour The Ice Castles at Silverthorne. Guests can wander through castles and explore caves carved from ice. Lights are shown on the ice sculptures each night for an amazing site to see.

The Colorado Angler is the water sports center of Silverthorne. Not only are they a full fly-fishing outfitter, they have a full guide service available.

Outdoor Activities

Along with fishing in the private lake, Angler Mountain Ranch offers many outdoor activities on the property. This includes The National Forest Trailhead. This trail allows residents access into the Ptarmigan Wilderness Area. Just across the street from the ranch is The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks. This is noted as one of the country’s best golf courses.

In addition to the great outdoor activities within Angler Mountain Ranch, residents will find several parks nearby. The Lily Pad Lake has excellent hiking trails past ponds and lakes. It’s a great place to take the children. Even dogs find it’s a good place to run and play.

Rainbow Park is a charming community park in Silverthorne. It is actually two parks in one. There is an area for the little ones, and there is another play spot for the older kids. Parents can take advantage of the shade and picnic tables while the children play. A skate park, tennis courts, and basketball court are also found here. It is located next door to the rec center where one can find indoor swimming pools.
