French Ridge ensures that Breckenridge, CO remains one of the premier skiing destinations in the world. The neighborhood has two distinct personalities that will suit everyone. It’s both a winter and summer location for all outdoor activities, with a ton of fun activities to do.
 

A Cultural Destination

It’s a cultural destination for performing arts, a world-famous film festival, museums and art galleries galore! Many places offer art classes for both locals and visitors alike. There are also tours of mines located both in the neighborhood and in nearby areas, to appreciate French Ridge’s rich history. The Riverwalk Center features musical entertainment ranging from the National Repertory Orchestra to a wide variety of musical acts.

A Skier’s  Paradise

Locals have a tendency to describe the seasons of the year as , “Last ski season, the current ski season and next year’s ski season. It literally is a skier’s paradise. There are more than 40 miles of skiing trails around Breckenridge, many in French Ridge. Nordic skiing is a very common pastime in the neighborhood.

Location, Location, Location

French Ridge is centrally located; only two blocks from main Street, with its offerings of shops, restaurants, and many other places to chill and hang out. So French ridge is quiet enough if you want it to be, but close enough to the noise and the action without having to walk a long distance.

Furthermore there’s a ski shuttle every 30 minutes that can take people to the base of Peak 9, one of the most popular skiing sites. Carter Park offers excellent views of the Rockies. There’s an ice rink nearby for those that want to slow down and relax; Breckenridge Brewery offers beer with a unique taste, a can’t miss!

A Culinary Experience

There’s a variety of eating places that will satisfy the most discriminating palates, such as the Dredge Boathouse, offering a one-of-a kind experience; a floating restaurant on the Blue River offering great scenery with the meal. Rasta Pasta offers pasta, Jamaican style. Colorado is a big cattle producing state, places like the Kenosha Steak House and the Steak & Rib, located nearby feature fresh steaks.

Easily located off I-70, only a short one-hour drive from Denver, near the Jack Nicklaus-designed Breckenridge Golf Course, the only Nicklaus-designed golf municipal golf course in the country, only 8 miles north of French Ridge.
