Tiger Wood Resort, a full-service resort community, is located on the northern end of the vibrant mountain town of Breckenridge, CO. This four-season resort town, just off Interstate 70 west of Denver, is home to roughly 3,400 year-round residents.

Breckenridge is home to an excellent skiing resort that features over 150 different trails for various levels. Vacationers flock to this town each year from November to April to experience the 3,000 feet scenic decent from the mountain sides.

The busiest day of the winter season can bring in over 36,000 visitors to the town. The ski resort offers 31 lifts to make available over 2,300 acres of ski-accessible area. Locals plan months ahead of time to purchase season ski lift passes, as being without is rare for many active Colorado residents and vacationers.

Neighborhood

It stands to be noted that Tiger Run Resort residents may only reside at their homes for a restricted amount of time each year as it is a resort community. Owners may occupy their homes continuously for 6 months or cumulatively a total of 8 months out of the year. However, this should not restrict residents from not enjoy the community while living there.

For families with younger children, the Summit County School District operates 6 elementary schools, the closest of which is only 3.5 miles south of the resort. Upper Blue Elementary is a school of under 300 students with a low student to teacher ratio of just 15. For older students, the county offers a middle and high school in Frisco that is 2.6 miles north of Tiger Run.

While vehicle parking is available throughout town, the city of Breckenridge promotes the use of bicycles during the warmer months as an alternative to automobiles. Residents and visitors alike often enjoy the use of bicycles on a warm summer day to take in the crisp mountain air and beautiful surrounding scenery.

Breckenridge was labeled a Gold level Bicycle Friendly Community due to its work to increase the awareness to and accessibility for the many bikers in the community.

  1. Tiger Run Resort is completely surrounded by the snowcapped peaks of the Rocky Mountain’s Ten Mile Range. The beautiful Arapaho National Forest offers many nearby outdoor activities, such as boating or fishing on its five larger lakes, camping, and fishing during the warmer months.

  2. During the summer, live classical music can be experienced at various venues provided by the National Repertory Orchestra of Breckenridge. The National Repertory Orchestra prepares young musicians for a career in classical orchestra and provides the public a chance to listen to their work.

  3. The town of Breckenridge is proud to own a 27-hole golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus, which is the only one of its kind in the world. In 2007, Colorado Golfer awarded the course with the designations of Best Mountain Course as well as Toughest Mountain Course.
